The K3 is equipped with two electric hydrojets which allows it to move 6km in water with its engine being shut off. They also act as counter torque of the main rotor while taking off from water. The skids retract independently, upon activation by the pilot, inside the body ensuring better flotation and the possibility of landing even in shallow waters.
