Dutchman’s curved-blade 100” truck mount is ideal for digging up to 12” trees. This unit needs to be mounted to a Tandem Axle Truck with 20,000 fronts and 46,000 rears. Cab-to-trunion needs to be approximately 205 inches or longer. Dutchman 100” spade is ideal in digging larger trees but we recommend a pusher axle to handle the increased weight. The shorter towers allow an operator to travel with the blades up thereby eliminating a full “open-close” cycle. This will drastically speed up the digging process when moving several trees. A 3-point Hitch Tree Spade can be mounted to the back of an suitable tractor. Semi-truncated (25°) or Cone style (30°) spades may be used. The size of spade possible is dependent on the weight and horsepower of the tractor. Dutchman Curved-Blade Tree Spades are available in sizes from 66″ up to 100″ and Dutchman Straight-Blade Tree Spades from 65″ to 80″, for large wheel loaders.
