The 4×4 Kaiser Jeep M715, sometimes called the “Five quarter (ton)”, for its 1+1⁄4 ton payload rating, is an American light military truck, based on the civilian Jeep Gladiator (SJ). Based on the 1968 Jeep M715 tactical vehicle, the Five-Quarter concept is functional and stops short of caricature.

All front body panels are formed from carbon fiber; the brushed-metal look is a vinyl wrap chosen to match the bed. The aluminum door panels and instrument panel were created with a water-jet make for style and lightening. In a stroke of repurposing genius, a vintage 8-71 supercharger housing is used to encase the transmission and transfer-case shifters.

The soft top is made from Haartz Corporation’s Twillfast RPC fabric, which is an acoustically enhanced three-ply topping material with acrylic twill weave facing, rubber inner-layer and polyester dobby backing. Inside, the vehicle showcased redesigned Jeep Wrangler seats without headrests, lending a sleek and retro-inspired appearance.

The body received a shield with functional rock rails along the length of the side, providing enhanced protection. Jeep also overhauled the chassis of the pickup and replaced the leaf springs with a heavy-duty link/coil suspension system.
