Gibbs Amphibians has updated its Terraquad, an amphibious Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) that can transform from land to sea mode in just seconds. Terraquad is a derivative of the already established Quadski platform. It has a side by side seating configuration, roof bars, and a rear load deck, similar in concept to a typical UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle).

The integration of HSA technology however, provides a vehicle platform that can also use waterways, so can access many more areas than an ordinary UTV.

The potential applications for this versatile platform in many differing roles are significant. The Terraquad amphibious ATV is equipped to handle whatever Mother Nature throws its way. This versatile two-seater comes equipped with a 4-cylinder 140hp engine that can reach speeds of 50mph on land and 45mph over water.

On the water, its Gibbs’ jet drive propeller will push it n the surface making it an incredibly fun and capable toy. The jet is able to propel the Terraquad to 45 miles per hour—more than fast enough to tow a water skier behind it.

Capable of transitioning under 5 seconds to both forms, the amphibious vehicle is one of the most entertaining grown-up toys out there and it can be adapted to many different purposes. Pricing for the Terraquad hasn’t been released, but the cost of the Quadski, also made by Gibbs Sports, is about $40,000. more info at gibbsamphibians.

The Terraquad also has a flatbed behind the two occupants for your waterproof luggage and comes with a set of rollbars for protection in case you topple the thing over.
